HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC – The Heritage Golf Collection on Hilton Head Island, a collection of Heritage Golf Group properties, announced today a schedule for re-opening the golf clubs, golf courses and restaurants. Hurricane Matthew, one of the largest Atlantic storms in nearly a decade, roared through the lowcountry on Saturday, October 7, 2016.
Most major damages from the storm have been repaired at the three award-winning golf resort-style properties; Oyster Reef Golf Club, Shipyard Golf Club and Port Royal Golf Club. After cleanup efforts on the golf course and removal of the debris, we are happy to announce the club is back in the swing of things and the golf courses and restaurants are scheduled to open as follows:
• Shipyard Golf Club opened its Clipper Course (9 holes) on Thursday, October 27, 2016 becoming the first course ready to accept golfers on the island. The Club is scheduled to re-open its Galleon Course (9 holes) on November 1st to create an 18-hole option in combination with alongside the Clipper. The Brigantine Course (9 holes) is scheduled to re-open the following week. Brickyard Pub is now open from 7:30am to 6:00pm daily featuring low-country seasonal, menus with the freshest local ingredients. Brickyard Pub will resume regular hours of operation starting November 8th.
• Clean up on Oyster Reef Golf Club has progressed swiftly with 9 holes scheduled to open on November 1st and the complete 18 holes to open by mid-November. LagerHead Tavern is now open daily from 11:00am – 6:00pm offering a limited menu. LagerHead Tavern will continue to offer special events throughout the week which will be posted on our Facebook page fb.me/lagerheadtavern and website www.hiltonheadgolf.net/lagerhead. The restaurant will resume regular hours of operation once all 18 holes are operational.
• Port Royal Golf & Racquet Club is preparing to once again host the Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival on November 5 & 6. The Barony back 9 holes are scheduled to re-open November 8th and Robber’s Row (18 holes) is scheduled to open by mid-November. Robber’s Row Grille will open for lunch on Tuesday, November 8th and will offer a limited dinner menu Tuesday through Friday. The Port Royal Racquet Club is now open and will offer a limited number of courts.
