Carlsbad, CA (October 31, 2016) – Power Package Golf player, Tom Pernice Jr., made history Sunday when he won the first ever Charles Schwab Cup Playoff event on the PGA TOUR Champions at the PowerShares QQQ Championship. His impressive play lead him to the top to finish one stroke ahead of the competition at Sherwood Country Club.
Pernice had started the tournament off with a bogey-double bogey and although conditions were wet and windy he finished strong with a 13-under par total.
While walking off the course on Saturday following his round Pernice spoke with the media saying, “My game has been coming around. I have been working with a new training aid, the Power Package. With this new Power Package training aid I’ve really learned to set the club with my arms and my wrists early and then turn the second half.”
