ORLANDO, Fla. (Nov. 1, 2016) – Accomplished player and teaching professional Bob Percey, the 2006 Michigan PGA Teacher of the Year, will follow his appearance today as a guest instructor on Golf Channel’s Morning Drive with an encore guest slot on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
The popular daily morning show airs from 7-9 a.m. Eastern.
Percey, director of instruction for the Inner Circle of Golf-with locations in Michigan and Florida-is one of the inaugural coaches in Golf Channel Academy (GCA), a dedicated network of teaching facilities. Select Golf Channel Academy coaches are being invited to appear on the network’s news and instruction shows, including The Golf Fix and School of Golf; Percey is making his first appearance on Morning Drive.
“It’s been a great experience to be a part of the Golf Channel Academy network of coaches and a treat visiting Morning Drive’s Studio AP to share some of my favorite tips and playing lessons with the viewers at home,” said Percey, who also is a lead coach at Inner Circle’s newest location, Kubica Golf, in Novi, Mich.- a state-of-the-art indoor facility 30 miles northwest of Detroit.
A native of Michigan, Bob was a four-year letter winner at Central Michigan University and competed in two Buick Opens on the PGA Tour before joining the coaching ranks. He has been teaching golf for more than 30 years, including the last 15 summers as the director of instruction at Meadowbrook Country Club in Northville, MI.
A member of the very first graduating class for Dr. Rick Jensen’s Certified Golf Coaches Association, Bob has had the privilege of working with some of the game’s greatest teaching instructors, including Jack Grout, Gardner Dickinson, Henry Young and Jim McLean.
