KISSIMMEE, Florida (November 8, 2016) – Integrity Golf Company (www.integritygolfco.com), a golf-course management company dedicated to sound business practices and exceptional customer service, is supporting two nationally-established military-focused charities during November, which is Military Appreciation Month in the U.S.: Fairways for Warriors and the USO (United Service Organizations). Golfers and visitors to all Integrity Golf Company-managed facilities are offered the opportunity onsite to contribute. Each guest making a donation may complete a card that will be affixed to the wall or window in the pro shop, personalizing the contribution. Donations are directed to both charities.
“We created this program to honor active and veteran members of the U.S. military,” said Gene Garrote, president & CEO of Integrity Golf Company. “We encourage golfers and guests to join us in this important endeavor.”
This charitable initiative is in keeping with Integrity Golf Company’s philosophy of providing dedicated leadership to the courses and communities it serves. The management company also is offering one free foursome to active and veteran military members at participating golf courses throughout November.
About Fairways to Warriors
The mission of Fairways to Warriors is to provide hope, healing and camaraderie for combat wounded veterans and their families. In May of this year, the local chapter of the nonprofit organization opened a new Training and Life Center facility in Kissimmee, Florida, just outside Orlando. The large warehouse with high ceilings includes a high-definition 3D swing analyzer, a full golf simulator and a driving range simulator; two training aids; a club repair and grip refitting workshop; and a workout area focused on golf training and fitness. Three large television screens show golf programming throughout the day. The space also includes a reception area, an office, a break room, a game room and a counseling room. Fairways for Warriors provides veterans-therapy services and financial assistance.
About USO
USO is a nonprofit charitable corporation begun in 1941. Just prior to the onset of America’s involvement in World War II, President Franklin D. Roosevelt sought to unite several service associations into one organization to lift the morale of our military and nourish support on the home front. Today, the USO is committed to helping military members confront the difficulty of regrouping, reconnecting with family and transitioning back into their communities. The USO is not part of the U.S. government and receives no government funding.
