St. Augustine, FL – November 16, 2016 – The National Alliance for Accessible Golf, a golf industry alliance dedicated to ensuring that the game of golf is inclusive of individuals with disabilities, has joined the Global “Giving Tuesday” Movement for the second year in a row.
“Giving Tuesday” is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Occurring this year on November 29, “Giving Tuesday” is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick-off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.
The National Alliance for Accessible Golf, a 501(c) (3) non-profit formed in 2001, first joined “Giving Tuesday” in 2015 to expand the education and promotion of golf as an inclusive sport and to connect with individuals who support that mission.
Steve Jubb, Alliance Executive Director, shares, “Giving Tuesday is a great way for your family, community or company to support our mission and, at the same time, improve lives through golf. Together, we can make a difference and increase accessibility to this lifetime sport!”
