Japanese golfer Yuta Ikeda won his third title of 2016 at the Japan Golf Tour’s Casio World Open this past Sunday, November 27th. The tournament was cut down to three rounds due to heavy rain, with Ikeda maintaining a strong lead for all three rounds. He claimed victory with a final score of 13-under-203. With this win, he has moved one step closer to topping the Japan Golf Tour Money List.
Why Yuta Ikeda Chose Yonex Irons
Ikeda has been competing in 2016 with free choice over his gear with no specific club contract. After testing several clubs prior to the start of the season, he found that the Yonex N1-CB Forged Irons were the perfect irons for his game.
Hand-crafted in Yonex’s domestic Japanese factories, the N1-CB Forged Irons offer superior feel as well as a lower and deeper CG for exceptional forgiveness. Since going on sale in 2015, these irons have earned great accolades among intermediate-to-advanced amateur golfers.
“I started using the Yonex forged irons (N1-CB) because they do a good job of getting the ball airborne, and offer great spin control,” spoke Ikeda about the irons, “I’d like to win this year’s Nippon Series with these irons!”
All About the N1-CB Forged Irons
Forged in Japan, the N1-CB iron features a S25S forged carbon steel head with a graphite control cavity insert.
The N1-CB iron is specifically geared for the aspiring player looking for “blade-like” feel, control and workability with the maximum distance and forgiveness typically found in a “game-improvement” iron.
The graphite control cavity insert reduces unwanted vibrations improving feel. The 3-gram graphite control cavity displaces 25-grams of forged carbon steel resulting in a 23-gram weight savings that is redistributed lower and deeper in the club head resulting in a CG that is lower and deeper providing unparalleled forgiveness.
The N1-CB’s 3-D Sole provides ideal turf interaction, ensuring consistent ball striking and playability in all conditions.
Retailing for $189.00 per iron, the ultra-premium N1-CB iron comes equipped with a Nippon N.S. Pro Modus3 Tour 125 steel shaft.
