Company opens office in San Diego

San Diego, Ca. – Veteran golf executive Cam Stephens has joined ClickIt Golf, Inc., as president of California operations and a licensee of Clickit Golf. ClickItGolf.com offers an online marketplace for golf specials and discounts in select cities throughout the United States. The company, headquartered in Charlotte, has opened an office in San Diego as part of its expansion.

Stephens is well known in the golfing industry. Most recently, he was vice president of operations for American Golf Corporation, leading 25 public golf courses in San Diego, Orange and Los Angeles counties. During his 20-year career in golf, he has led business optimization efforts at more than 80 golf properties in eight states. He previously served as vice president of revenue management for American Golf, advising more than 100 public golf courses across the United States.

“ClickIt Golf has a tremendous business model, and I wanted to be part of it,” Stephens says. “We are golf course operators who understand what the golf courses need. We’re finding that golf course owners are excited to finally have a platform to sell all their dynamic golf specials without the cost of trade rounds. I wanted to partner with a company whose success is tied to the golf courses’ success.”

In its first three weeks in San Diego, ClickItGolf.com has signed up 30 golf courses with more than 225 coupons and special golf rates. Check out those courses at the company’s San Diego website. ClickIt Golf will launch in the Palm Springs market this month. The company plans to expand to the Los Angeles and San Francisco markets early next year.

Stephens earned a master’s degree in sports management from the U.S. Sports Academy, and a bachelor’s degree in business economics from the University of California – Santa Barbara. He’s an active volunteer, including as a business mentor for San Diego Sport Innovators’ Springboard program for growing companies.
