December 6, 2016, New York, N.Y. – Golf Vacation Insider, the world’s largest and most engaged audience of golf travelers, today launched its awards series called, “The World’s Best Golf Experiences,” as the fastest, most complete, and most reliable way for golfers to know where to spend their time and money.
In its first installment of The World’s Best Golf Experiences, Golf Vacation Insider has selected The Best Golf and Casino Resorts in the United States and will be distributing the list of 60 “Platinum,” “Gold” and “Silver” winners to its 425,000 email subscribers.
Rather than focusing only on golf and using a single panel of raters, Golf Vacation Insider hired a mathematician and statistician to combine and weight the rankings, ratings and reviews from dozens of credible sources across golf, lodging, dining, and off-course activities to identify the properties offering the best overall experiences.
In addition to Golf Vacation Insider’s firsthand property knowledge, other sources included in its scoring algorithm are the authoritative Golf Odyssey travel newsletter, Golf Digest, Golf Magazine, Golfweek, respected golf writers/bloggers; consumer reviews from websites such as TripAdvisor and Yelp, major social media websites, and opinions from Golf Vacation Insider’s 425,000 email subscribers.
