December 6, 2016 – Torrance, CA
Japanese golfer Yuta Ikeda secured the No. 1 spot on the Japan Golf Tour money list this Sunday,
December 4th after tying for 2nd place at the Golf Nippon Series JT Cup.
Ikeda started competing with Yonex N1-CB forged irons as of the 2016 season, experiencing immediate
improvements in his game. The Japanese golfer closed out the 2015 season with 1 title to his name, but
after making the changeover to Yonex clubs this season, he earned a staggering three. This ascension to the
top spot of the 2016 Money List this weekend proved to be an exceptional conclusion to a season of
success.
Yuta Ikeda and Yonex Forged-Irons
Heading into the 2016 season free of any club contract, Ikeda meticulously tested several clubs prior to the
start of the season in search of the best gear to boost his game. Among several options, Ikeda was greatly
impressed by the performance of N1-CB forged irons. Yonex graphite hybrid N1-CB forged irons are
carefully crafted by hand in Yonex’s Japanese factories to the highest standards. Boasting great power and
precision control, the N1-CB irons have been a major factor in Ikeda’s success this season.
“I would have really liked to win this year’s Golf Nippon Series JT Cup,” spoke Ikeda after the tournament,
“But I’m really happy that I reached No. 1 on the Money List! I owe this great result to the Yonex irons I
started using this year. The Yonex team also provides great fitting services, so I am very thankful for their
continued support.”
