(Chatham, NJ) – VPAR (www.vpar.com) – the award-winning golf technology company and pioneer of Live Scoring – unveils a new collection of updates for app users to access for free during their next round.
The new interface gives VPAR’s hundreds of thousands of users the opportunity to input their stats as they play and analyze the trends in their game post round. There have also been new improvements to the newsfeed, the addition of Challenges and a unique digital scorecard design.
A closer look at some of the new features:
Stats Tracking: Input your stats as you play and monitor your performance for greens in regulation, driving accuracy and putts per round. Get a better handle on your strengths and weaknesses.
Challenges: App users can compete with friends or fellow VPAR golfers across the country or around the world. The “Challenges” tab enables entry into a diverse range of tournaments and competitions, giving golfers the excitement of seeing where they stand on live leaderboards.
The Feed: Sharing experiences, keeping track of friends’ scores and reading the latest golf news in a personalized newsfeed makes it easier than ever to stay connected with the game you love. You can now show your appreciation for a buddy’s great performance by giving them a ‘fist bump’.
“We’ve seen the adoption of advanced analytics across the world of sports,” says VPAR CEO, Jason Stoop. “We developed our app to give amateur golfers access to real-time data both on and off the course that traditionally only the pros had, so it’s only natural to include game-enhancing stat analysis to the mix.”
Update or download VPAR for iOS or Android devices from the App Store or Google Play Store. For further information on VPAR, www.vpar.com.
About VPAR
VPAR recreates the excitement of a professional tournament by allowing golfers to input scores on handheld devices and create live leaderboard experiences on the course, in the clubhouse and online. Last year, VPAR’s Live Scoring Tournament Service was used to score thousands of outings worldwide for organizations like Audi, Shoprite, The Ronald McDonald House and the New York Yankees.
As the world’s No. 1 golf app and winner of the ‘Best Sports App’ at the Sports Technology Awards, VPAR is the most comprehensive digital scorecard. Any golfer can set up a tournament amongst friends, create live leaderboards on the course or use the GPS and course planner feature at over 30,000 courses worldwide. The new personal newsfeed allows golfers to share their success and experiences with friends or keep up to date with the latest golf news, even when they’re not on the course.
VPAR recently unveiled its Tournament Management System, a web-based platform for PGA Professionals and club managers that enhances golfers’ experiences, streamlines operations, increases course revenue and analyzes data for tournaments, outings and member events.
