BONITA, CA – Knuth Golf’s High Heat 3-Wood is one of three finalists in the Product Ingenuity-Emerging Companies – Golf Equipment category of the 24th Annual ING Industry Honors awards program.
The ING Industry Honors program is conducted by the non-profit International Network of Golf, the industry’s only media-based networking organization. ING is “where the media connects with the golf industry.”
The ING Industry Honors program recognizes outstanding business achievement in a dozen categories, from product ingenuity to player development to advertising. Nominations are accepted form anyone in the industry. Sub-committees in each category reviewed nominations, and by private vote trimmed the entries to the top three in each category. ING members then vote to determine the winners.
Nominees will be recognized and winners announced on January 26 at 12:30 pm in Room 309 A/B at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla.
Dean Knuth, a former USGA Senior Director, designed High Heat metalwoods specifically with amateurs in mind because amateur golfers have much different performance needs than the Tour pros. The High Heat Driver won this category in 2015, and the High Heat 3-Wood was named to several media outlets’ “best of show” lists following its launch at the 2016 PGA Merchandise Show.
Sports Illustrated golf writer Gary Van Sickle wrote: “Bringing The Heat…The Show’s sexiest club was the Knuth Golf High Heat 3-wood, which combined a low profile with the sleek curves of a ’58 Corvette and, oh yeah, balls shot like out of a cannon.”
High Heat’s 3-wood, with a deeper CG, is the easiest 3-Wood to get up in the air. In addition, it features a Beta Titanium cup face, providing a significantly increased spring-like effect across the entire face for extra distance and increased forgiveness compared to traditional steel faces that major brands offer. This is important for amateurs who don’t always hit the center of the clubface.
At KnuthGolf.com, an online fitting is conducted to properly address the loft for the driver and which weight and flex is needed for the club shaft for any High Heat fairway wood or hybrid they purchase.

ABOUT KNUTH GOLF
Dean Knuth, a former USGA Senior Director, designed High Heat metalwoods specifically with amateurs in mind. Amateur golfers need clubs that use nearly 50 grams of discretionary weight to optimize their much different performance needs compared to Tour pros with 115+ mph swing speeds who consistently hit on or very near the center of the face. In May of this year Knuth was awarded Golf Inc. magazine’s “Top Innovator” award for golf clubs.
Knuth Golf’s High Heat driver, 3 wood and #3 hybrid have been named the “Best” in their class by several golf media, with the High heat driver winning the ING Industry Honors’ Product Ingenuity category last January, and the ING “Conference Best Product” in May. The company will release its 5 and 7 woods and #4-#7 hybrids at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando in January 2017.
