CARLSBAD, Calif. (Jan. 10, 2017) – Nippon Shaft today announced it will exhibit at the upcoming PGA Merchandise Show, Jan. 25-27, and invited attendees to check out its products at Booth 711 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

Nippon Shaft also will be showcasing its products at Tee No. 8 at the Show’s popular outdoor Demo Day on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the Orange County National Golf Center in Winter Park, where attendees may hit clubs outfitted with Nippon Shaft products.

Show attendees also may hit clubs equipped with Nippon Shaft products at Bay No. 8 at the Equipment Test Center at the indoor driving range at the Convention Center, company officials said.

“Nippon Shaft would like to invite PGA Merchandise Show attendees to visit us at Booth 711 at the Orange County Convention Center to learn more about our products and how we work to help golfers maximize their enjoyment by producing steel and graphite shafts that help bring out the best performance possible in every golfer,” said Hiro Fukuda, head of sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft.

“We also would like to extend an invitation to industry members to visit us on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at Tee No. 8 on the practice range at PGA Demo Day at Orange County National, where they can hit clubs outfitted with Nippon Shaft products,” Fukuda said. “We think they’ll feel the difference. We also will have clubs available to hit indoors at Bay No. 8 at the Equipment Test Center at the Convention Center during the Show.”

In the 2015-16 season, at least 137 male tour professionals on the PGA TOUR and the European PGA Tour played Nippon Shaft in their irons and/or wedges, an increase of 25 percent from a year earlier. In addition. a majority of female tour pros around the world also play Nippon Shaft, according to company officials.

In 2016, Nippon Shaft players recorded victories using four variations of the N.S. PRO MODUS3 Tour model – the 105, 120, 125 and 130 steel shafts – in their irons.

Based in Yokohama, Japan, Nippon Shaft is the No. 1-selling steel shaft in Asia and is No. 2 in North America. The company has more than 100 victories on professional tours worldwide.

Nippon Shaft manufactures all of its steel and graphite shafts in a state-of-the-art factory in Komagane, Japan. The company’s integrated production lines are strictly monitored and controlled with thorough checks conducted responsibly through the entire production process, Fukuda said. As a result, Nippon Shaft is able to control high product quality – from material selection to final testing.

Nippon Shaft is a privately-held subsidiary of NHK Spring Co. LTD, a Japanese automobile parts manufacturer. Nippon Shaft’s North American headquarters is in Carlsbad.
