Fusion products unite switchblade and twister technologies

New York (January , 2017) – Pitchfix USA, a global market leader in switchblade divot tools and other golf products, today announced its latest line of products – the Fusion 2.5 Pin, Fusion Single Pin, and the Original will all debut at the 2017 PGA Show in Orlando (Booth #2015).

Continuing with Pitchfix’s innovative engineering, the Fusion line of products unites the award-winning Twister patented 3-pronged metal retractable system in a switchblade design.

As the Twister did previously, the Fusion line makes ball mark repairs easier for golfers and continues to help reduce pitch mark repair damage to greens. Pitchfix’s patented technology featuring a pronged metal retractable system out performs all other divot repair tools and is now available in a switchblade model!

Fusion 2.5 Pin features:

• ABS rubberized handle for soft touch and grip

• Colored aluminum trims

• Shiny colored button trims

• Built in pencil sharpener

• Patented divot repairing pins

• Removable 1 Inch ball marker

• 14 color options

• MSRP of $16.50

“The Fusion 2.5 Pin combines the characteristics of the successful Hybrid line with the award winning pin technology of the Twister 2.0,” said Bart Fokke, CEO of Pitchfix. “This is without doubt the best divot repair tool Pitchfix has ever produced. We are excited to offer it to the 26 million golfers in the United States.”

According to a Purdue University study one of the worst performing divot tools was the traditional wooden golf tee. The Fusion Single Pin gives you the best single prong tool with the award winning pin technology of the Twister 2.0 making a great and stylish product for golf courses that demand use of a single prong divot tool.

Fusion Single Pin features:

• ABS rubberized handle for soft touch and grip

• White trims

• Shiny colored button trims

• Built in pencil sharpener

• Patented divot repairing pin

• Removable 1 Inch ball marker

• 7 color options

• MSRP of $14.95

The concept of the Pitchfix Original originated in Europe many years ago. High quality, less parts and just one color resulted in a very successful product that peacefully coexists with the Hybrid line at a lower price point. The Original is based around a new design that will be seen in more new Pitchfix products.

Original features:

• Mixture of high quality, strong, durable plastic

• Colored button trims

• Removable 1 Inch ball marker

• Six color options

• MSRP $11.50

All Pitchfix models remain highly customizable for promotional gifts and corporate branding. Currently, Pitchfix products are available at many top U.S. retail outlets such as PGA Tour Superstores, most top golf resorts and courses throughout the country. According to Pitchfix, when ball marks are repaired with traditional pitch forks very often the root structure is torn which creates an air pocket under the mark and a compacted piece of soil at the surface, making it difficult for the grass to regenerate and heal.

Pitchfix’s patented pin technology allows the Fusion products to work as effectively as the Twister 2.0, says the company: the golfer simply pushes it in and out of the affected area, restoring the ground and relieving compaction simultaneously. This quick and simple procedure, according to Pitchfix, results in better repairs that recover quickly, making it virtually impossible to do damage with the tool.

Fokke added, “The Fusion products will continue to play a critical role in improving the condition of greens and reducing ongoing maintenance costs to repair damage.”

“Reports indicate that the average golfer leaves about 12 ball marks during a typical round of golf,” said Fokke. “That can result in more than 700,000 ball marks per year on an average golf course. Add to that the players who do not repair their ball marks and the high percentage of improper repair from conventional two prong divot tools, and the potential maintenance savings with the Fusion products could be as much as ten percent.”
