2017 PGA Merchandise Show serves as venue for Industry Leaders to share compelling data on Women as Economic Influencers in Golf
New York, NY (January 18, 2017) — On Wednesday, January 25 leaders from the Women’s Golf Day (WGD) initiative will host a news conference at the PGA Merchandise Show (Orlando, FL), providing insight about this female-centric player development program as well as data on why women are key economic influencers in golf. The news conference is set for 2-3 p.m., at the Orange County Convention Center (Media Center Conference Area, 3rd Floor, Room W312).
Speakers will include Women’s Golf Day supporters Steve Mona-World Golf Foundation, David MacLaren-European Tour Properties, Antony Scanlon-International Golf Federation, and Mark Gore-ClubCorp. WGD Founder Elisa Gaudet, CEO of Executive Golf International, will serve as conference moderator.
“Those attending the presentation will learn how Women’s Golf Day works, the importance of the female demographic, and how it is driving the future of golf,” said Gaudet. “Golf professionals and course owners will learn creative ways to leverage WGD that will increase revenue and participation at local facilities. Attendees will have a chance to meet WGD ambassadors and supporters who are making a difference in golf locally as well as globally.”
Women’s Golf Day aims to “inspire action” and anticipates more than 20,000 women and girls participating in the 2017 one-day event, set for Tuesday June 6, 2017. To learn more or to register as a host facility, visit www.womensgolfday.com.
