(Orlando, Florida – January 30, 2017) – Ann Liguori, host of the weekly ‘Sports Innerview with Ann Liguori’ radio show, heard Saturday mornings from 9-10 AM EST on Long Island’s only NPR affiliate WPPB – 88.3 FM, and heard globally on peconicpublicbroadcasting.org, won ‘First Place’ in the Radio Broadcast category at the 24th Annual International Network of Golf (ING) media awards competition.
The ING Media Awards are presented annually during the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida. This is the fourth time Ann’s show has won top honors in this competition.
The entry was Ann’s broadcast from the 2016 Travelers Championship, a PGA Tour stop held at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Ct. Ann spoke with Andy Bessette, Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer at The Travelers Companies, Inc; Professional Golfer Paul Casey; Dr. Kevin Felice of Hospital for Special Care in Connecticut; Brian Salvo, ALS patient at HSC; and professional player Tyrone Van Aswwgen.
Each week on ‘Sports Innerview,’ Ann talks about a variety of sports issues and topics and interviews authors, athletes, coaches, celebrities and experts on all sorts of topics pertaining to sports, fitness and wellness.
In addition to being Executive Producer and Host of ‘Sports Innerview,’ Ann is the golf correspondent for CBS Sports Radio Network and WFAN covering the Majors and a variety of PGA Tour and LPGA Tour events. Ann hosted ‘Hey Liguori. What’s the Story,’ a weekly call-in sport’s radio show on WFAN for over 23 years. She is the author of ‘A Passion for Golf, Celebrity Musings About the Game.’ Ann is the owner of over 600 ‘Sports Innerview’ TV shows, featuring Ann interviewing top legends in sports and entertainment.

On June 8, Ann will be hosting the 19th edition of the ‘Ann Liguori Foundation Charity Golf Classic.’ After three straight years at Friar’s Head, the tournament will be played at the Maidstone Club in East Hampton, N.Y. The tournament benefits cancer prevention, research and care.
