Golfing Magazine announces that it will feature Iron Sets and Individual Hybrids in its “Hands On” Equipment Testing section in the Spring 2017 issue. As many of you know, the “HANDS ON” equipment play testing sections are designed to play-test products in a way that is fair to both club makers and consumers. The play testing involves the co-operation of registered members of the PGA and mid-to-low handicap players selected by the PGA Professionals and Golfing Magazine that are appropriately matched to the product to use, test and then comment on different equipment. Equipment is evaluated by our play-testers to help determine Golfing Magazine’s Players Choice Awards.
• Information about the product and testing results are published in Golfing Magazine, both the printed and digital version, online at www.GolfingMagazine.net, in the Golfing Magazine eNewsletter, on Twiiter and on Facebook. All above editorial avenues reach in excess of 500,000 golfers.
We invite all manufacturers to participate in the iron test in our “HANDS ON” Play Testing section. Product is accepted on a first come first served basis. All product submitted will be included both in print and online.
Should you wish to participate, we ask that you send a set of irons and/or individual hybrids to test, a media kit, product images and product information before February 15th to the address below.
Irons sets will be divided into three (3) categories and you may submit product for each category.
Please submit a full set for each category you wish to be included in. We use PGA professionals to help match the clubs and shaft flex to the test players.
• IRON Sets Categories
• Game Enhancement/Game Improvement Irons (submit in Stiff or Regular flex)
• Players Irons (submit in Stiff Flex)
• Super Game Improvement Irons (submit in Regular Flex)
Individual Hybrids will be tested separately in this same issue as iron sets.
– Please submit at least 2 – 3 hybrids of differing lofts for each model you wish included.
– Higher lofted hybrids should be in regular flex and lower lofted hybrids in stiff flex.
