The Gallery, Omni Tucson National, Sewaillo and Ventana Canyon designated as Most Women Friendly
TUCSON, ARIZ. – The Arizona Women’s Golf Association released their 2017 GEM (Golf Endorsed by Members) Awards and four Tucson courses have been recognized as providing the best golf experience for women.
Tucson’s 2017 GEM winners include:
• The Gallery Golf Club – a 5-time recipient
• Omni Tucson National Golf Club – a 5-time recipient
• Ventana Canyon Golf Club – a 5-time recipient
• Sewaillo Golf Club – a 2-time recipient, the only two years they were eligible since opening
The GEM winners are compiled from a survey of over 6,000 members of the Arizona Women’s Golf Association throughout the year. Each member provides feedback covering the player’s impression of the clubhouse and facilities, playability for women, customer service, food and beverage and the availability of women’s merchandise in the clubhouse.
“We are very proud to have so many of our great golf courses on the GEM list,” commented Visit Tucson’s CEO Brent DeRaad. “We want all golfers, whether men or women, to feel welcome during their Tucson golf vacation and this proves that we are doing things right.”
