ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 7, 2017) – The Inner Circle of Golf, one of Golf Channel Academy’s inaugural teaching facilities, has teamed with Kubica Golf on a second location in Michigan-a state-of-the-art indoor training facility 25 miles northwest of Detroit.
The 3,500-square-foot, climate-controlled training center is open year-round and includes two hitting bays, a chipping/putting area for short-game practice, and an E6Golf simulator with 27 virtual courses you can play. It also features some of the very best technology, including a TrackMan 4 launch monitor that utilizes two independent radar systems to deliver the most accurate ball-flight information available anywhere.
“I’m very excited to be here at Kubica Golf,” said Bob Percey, director of instruction for Inner Circle of Golf and lead coach at Kubica Golf. “The facility is first-class and provides golfers with a friendly, fun, comfortable environment for learning. We have the latest state-of-the-art technology and a fantastic short game and putting area, and we offer customized coaching programs rather than traditional golf lessons.”
Percey is one of the top coaches in Michigan, having previously been honored by his peers as the 2006 Michigan PGA Teacher of the Year. An accomplished player, he competed in two Buick Opens on the PGA Tour and several Nike Tour (currently the Web.com Tour) events before joining the coaching ranks more than 30 years ago.
In addition to Kubica Golf, Percey also teaches in the summer at nearby Meadowbrook Country Club in Northville, Mich. The Inner Circle of Golf also has two facilities in Florida, including Summerfield Crossings Golf Club in the Tampa suburb of Riverview (also a Golf Channel Academy location).
Percey is joined at Kubica Golf by Kubica co-founder and coach Frank McAuliffe, an accomplished PGA professional whose leadership and dedication to golf earned him the Michigan PGA’s Bill Strausbaugh Award in 2009 and, a year later, the Michigan Section Golf Professional of the Year. McAuliffe also served as the head golf pro at Ann Arbor Country Club for 29 years and guided the Dexter High School boys program for 15 years.
