IRVINE, Calif. (February 13, 2017) – Sunday’s dramatic playoff finish at the Country Club de Bogata saw a player using Fourteen Golf wedges finish runner-up at the Web.com Tour’s Club de Colombia Championship.
The 30-year-old native of Veracruz, Mexico shot a final round 7-under par 64 to finish at 13-under par for the tournament using Fourteen Golf’s RM22 wedges in lofts of 60, 56 and 50 degree lofts.
It was the first time the 2009 University of South Carolina-Aiken graduate had put the 56 and 50 degree wedges in his bag; he has been playing the 60-degree lob wedge since last year. He shot rounds of 69-65-73-64-271, earned $75,600, and moved to No. 4 on the Web.com Tour money list.
“Fourteen Golf would like to congratulate a player who never gave up and who shot 7-under par in his final round to get into a playoff,” said Masashi Kamoda, chief operating officer of Fourteen Golf. “We are excited to watch him as the Web.com Tour season progresses.”
