The Partridge Inn Offers Party Space For 2017 Masters Tournament

Augusta, GA (February 13, 2017) – Late night parties, rooftop views, shuttles to Augusta National, specialty menus and cocktails, and luxury hotel suites. The Partridge Inn is the closest hotel to Augusta National, and in addition to rooms, the hotel offers more than 8,000 square feet of event space. The Partridge Inn has enjoyed visits from many celebrities, golf elites and politicians throughout the years of its existence including Bob Dylan, Crystal Gayle, Reba McIntyre, Curtis Strange, Paul Azinger, Gary Player, Dennis Quaid, Michael Jackson, James Brown, and Ryan Seacrest.

The most coveted of spots is the Penthouse (2,100 sq. ft.), which includes a rooftop that overlooks the city of Augusta. In 2016, Golf.com listed The Penthouse at The Partridge Inn as “The Sweetest of Suites” for Masters. The Morris Partridge Ballroom (2,400 sq. ft.), the site of the 1923 Presidential Banquet held for Warren G. Harding, is perfect for larger parties and can accommodate up to 200 guests, reception-style. The Champion’s Suite (884 sq. ft.), known as the P.I. Bar and Grill’s private dining room, can accommodate 40 guests for a more intimate dinner or 70 for a reception-style event. Additional event space includes: The Summerville (1,944 sq. ft.), The Richmond (1,408 sq. ft.), and The Magnolia (1,152 sq. ft.).

Each year, the hotel has a variety of offerings that makes each guest’s stay a memorable experience of a lifetime. Perks include a complimentary shuttle to Augusta National, breakfast, custom welcome gifts, and access to the restaurant and verandah. In addition, guests can expect live entertainment in the restaurant, Cigar Bar, the Summerville room, or outdoors on the verandah, which offers a breathtaking view of Augusta. The P.I. Bar and Grill is helmed by Chef Dominic Simpson, who has created specialized a-la-carte and buffet menus for Masters includes traditional favorites and a selection of new dishes. Offerings include grilled spring vegetables, heirloom tomato salad, herb-roasted pork tenderloin, smoked brisket, Cajun-fried turkey breast, and comfort food such as three-cheese mac and cheese, collard greens and fried chicken.

About The Partridge Inn

The Partridge Inn began life in the 1890s as a modest two-story private residence, opening as The Partridge Inn in 1910. The hotel enjoyed such great success, that expansion after expansion led to its present city-block size in 1929. The hotel gained prominence as a central gathering spot for the winter elite, hosting golf legends, presidents and legendary tea-dances in its grand halls and ballrooms, while the ground floor housed a post office, telegraph office, flower shop, bookstore, barber shop and hairdressing parlor. Over the next few decades, The Partridge Inn reigned as the epicenter for social activity and out-of-town guests. But time eventually took its toll, and the aging hotel faced total demolition in 1978.
