ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 14, 2017) – Accomplished PGA teaching professional Ric Moore, the 2015 Southern California PGA Metropolitan Chapter Horton Smith Award winner for his contributions to professional education, is scheduled to appear Wednesday and Thursday as a guest instructor on Golf Channel’s Morning Drive.
The episodes featuring more on the popular daily morning show will air from 7-9 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Feb. 15, and 10 a.m.-noon ET on Thursday, Feb. 16.
Moore, owner and operator of Ric Moore Golf at Monterey Park Golf Club in Monterey Park, Calif., is one of the inaugural coaches in Golf Channel Academy (GCA), a dedicated network of teaching facilities. Select Golf Channel Academy coaches are being invited to appear as part of the newly named “GCA Coaches Series”; Moore is making his first appearance.
“It’s a privilege and an honor to be appearing on Morning Drive,” said Moore, who began his coaching career in 1985 in nearby Pasadena. “I look forward to sharing some of my favorite tips and playing lessons with the viewers at home, and making the game more fun for all.”
A U.S. Kids Golf Certified Coach, Moore also holds certifications with Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), TrackMan (Level 2), K-Vest and AimPoint Express Green Reading. He is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton, where he studied psychology, and has played Riviera Country Club-site of this week’s Genesis Open on the PGA Tour-more than 20 times.
