PGA of America to host long drive competition offering fans a
chance to play alongside LPGA tour players
Olympia Fields, Ill. (February 21, 2017) – In anticipation of the 2017 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at Olympia Fields Country Club this summer, the PGA of America will offer Chicago Golf Show® attendees a rare opportunity to earn a spot to play in the official Championship Pro-Am and compete alongside the biggest stars on the LPGA Tour. Contestants must attend the Chicago Golf Show®, hosted at Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, Feb. 24-26, and participate in a long drive competition to be considered for the special promotion.
The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship long drive competition will take place throughout the weekend near the main stage in the Convention Center. The Championship also will be represented on the show floor in booth #1409, where fans can see the official trophy, learn more about the Championship, register to volunteer and purchase tickets.
Competition rules and regulations will be posted on the Championship website (www.KPMGWomensPGA.com) and will be part of all participant registration forms. See below for more information*. The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship Pro-Am takes place during Championship Week on Tuesday, June 27.

• Friday, Feb. 24, 2017: 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
• Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017: 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship – a collaboration between the PGA of America, KPMG and the LPGA Tour – comes to Chicago for the first time in the Championship’s long and storied history. Broadcast in partnership with NBC and Golf Channel, the Championship offers a purse among the highest in women’s golf. The event combines an annual major golf championship with the KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit and an ongoing charitable initiative called the KPMG Future Leaders Program – all focused on the development, advancement, and empowerment of women on and off the golf course.

*All participants must be 18 years or older to enter. Only one entry per participant, which includes three long drive attempts. All distances will be measured by TrackMan™ and only drives that are within the “fairway” will qualify. The “fairway” is measured by TrackMan™ as being within 60 feet right or left of center line. If there is a tie for 1st place, the participant nearest to the center line, as measured by TrackMan™ will be declared the winner. See Championship website for further rules and regulations.
