PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C., Feb. 24, 2017 – Caledonia Golf & Fish Club will host a Four-Person Captain’s Choice on Saturday, May 27, in Pawleys Island, S.C. to benefit the Hollings Cancer Center and the Mike Strantz Endowment for Cancer Research.
The Four-Person Captain’s Choice consists of teams of four and registration for the event is open through April 29. Attendees have the option to register as a team or individual. Sponsorships are also available and range from food and beverage to souvenir sponsor.
Mike Strantz designed Caledonia Golf & Fish Club, True Blue Golf Club and many nationally recognized golf courses during his career. He was featured in the ‘Top 10 Greatest Golf Architects of All Time’ by Golfweek and received numerous accolades for designing beautiful, yet tough, courses.
“This event is very important to us and the community,” said Bob Seganti, PGA director of golf operations for Caledonia Golf and Fish Club and True Blue Golf Club. “Mike was a beloved man and architect for numerous golf courses across the country, including ours. We are honored to host an event in his name and continue the fight against cancer.”
