Handful of coveted spots remain for tenth-annual event on acclaimed Waterville Golf Links
(DUBLIN, Ireland) – Carr Golf – Ireland and Scotland’s premier provider of unforgettable golf vacations – announces its 10th annual World Invitational Father & Daughter Tournament on County Kerry’s acclaimed Waterville Golf Links has only a handful of open spots remaining in this year’s field.
Held July 24 – 26, the wildly successful event has seen a substantial increase in applications. Starting at $4,880 (?4,600) per team, the tournament includes three rounds of golf at Waterville, deluxe nightly accommodations, reception, full Irish breakfasts each morning, tournament photo, shuttle transportation throughout, prize ceremony, and nightly dinner and entertainment.
“The incredible interest in this year’s tournament has been unprecedented and we’re thrilled the field is larger than ever,” says Marty Carr, executive chairman of Carr Golf. “The event is wonderfully unique as it showcases fathers and daughters having the time of their lives while competing on one of the world’s greatest places to play.”
Last year, Carr Golf hosted 32 teams hailing from the U.S., Canada and Ireland at Waterville. Playing out of New York’s Westchester County Club, Steve and Kaitlyn Lee won the 36-hole event with a record breaking six-under-par gross total. The winners of the net division were Jimmy and Mary Layden playing out of Bel Air Country Club in California.
Also at Waterville, Carr Golf will host its 28th-annual World Invitational Father & Son Tournament on Aug. 9 – 13. In 2016, 82 teams from 11 different countries competed including the U.S., Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England, Italy, Spain, South Africa, The Bahamas, Barbados and Denmark.
