ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 28, 2017) – Accomplished PGA teaching professional Ed Bowe, one of the top coaches in north Florida, is scheduled to appear as a guest instructor on Golf Channel’s Morning Drive, March 2-3.
The popular daily morning show will air Thursday and Friday this week from 10:30 a.m.-noon ET.
Bowe, director of instruction for Amelia Island Club Golf Academy at Long Point, is one of the inaugural coaches in Golf Channel Academy (GCA), a dedicated network of teaching facilities. Select Golf Channel Academy coaches are being invited to appear on the network’s news and instruction shows, including The Golf Fix and School of Golf; Bowe is making his second appearance on Morning Drive.
“I’m thrilled to be appearing on Morning Drive once again,” said Bowe, a Class A PGA Member with more than 25 years teaching experience. “It’s been my lifelong passion to help golfers play their best, and I look forward to sharing some of my favorite tips and playing lessons with the viewers at home.”
Prior to coming to Amelia Island, Ed worked with Hank Haney Golf as a Hank Haney PRO5 Certified Instructor, and was the director of instruction at the Golf Digest Schools national headquarters. Ed has traveled throughout the world learning from some of the game’s elite coaches, including Haney and World Golf Hall of Famer John Jacobs, who recently passed away at the age of 91. An accomplished player, Ed’s career-low round is a 63, fired at the same Long Point Golf Course where he now teaches.
