Las Vegas, NV, March 1, 2017 – The inaugural USGC Championship presented by Pitchfix today announced the 25 regional sites that will be hosting the first round of competition on May 19, 2017
The Classic is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for recreational golfers of all skill levels to participate in a high-stakes golf tournament. Winning two-person teams in each regional qualifier will advance to the USGC National Championship at the Aliante Golf Club, Las Vegas, NV August 26, 2017.
“We wanted to create a platform for all golfers to be able to compete and win a cash prize, no matter their skill level,” says Charlie Wend, Vice President of TPG Sports Group. “We’re very excited from the response we’ve received so far from the recreational golf community to retired professional athletes, all looking to compete on an even playing field.” Thus far, more than 700 two person teams have signed on, with handicaps ranging from 0 to 18.

Whether you are a weekend warrior or compete in a golf league, this tournament is designed for the casual golf community. Golfers looking to retain their amateur status can waive their right to the cash prize prior to entering the tournament. Teams can be made up of any combination of men, women, or seniors (60+).
