DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., February 28, 2017 – The Ladies Professional Golf Association announced today that PGA TOUR Superstore will certify their teaching staff in the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional’s Teaching HER course.
PGA TOUR Superstore is passionate about improving the enjoyment of the game for all levels of both male and female golfers. This is demonstrated every day through their unparalleled selection, exceptional service and guaranteed low prices that help golfers take their game to a whole new level – whatever that may mean to them.
“More women are joining the game than ever before and we look forward to providing the best experience possible for these golfers by having all of our teaching professionals certified as LPGA Teaching HER instructors,” said Dick Sullivan, President & CEO for PGA TOUR Superstore.
The purpose of the LPGA’s Teaching HER online course is to help educate golf professionals on how to comfortably and successfully teach the game of golf to women. Through this course, instructors learn key points about how to communicate, set goals, assess, diagnose and present swing mechanics with specific regards to female students and their learning styles.
“PGA TOUR Superstore is an obvious choice for the LPGA to align with as their mission and ours are strategically compatible, we are all about helping golfers of all ages and abilities enjoy the game of golf,” said Nancy Henderson, Chief Teaching Officer and President of The LPGA Foundation. “This alliance is also a wonderful opportunity for women in all of their stores to have their teaching staff be knowledgeable about meeting the unique needs of teaching women the game of golf.”
Teaching has always been an integral part of the 67-year history of the LPGA. Today there are more than 1,700 LPGA Teaching and Club Professional members dedicated to encouraging people to learn how to play the game of golf and teaching golfers how to further enjoy the game.
