Stafford, Va. – MAPGA sales representative Britt Sloan was awarded Sales Person of the Year for his excellence in support of the Section and its members.
A representative of Bushnell, Sun Mountain, U.S. Kids, Golfmax and Nexbelt, Britt has won multiple salesperson of the year awards from his companies, but this will be his first time he is recognized by a PGA Section.
Born in Atlanta, Ga. in 1958, Britt began golfing at an early age with his father, Oscar. He played football, basketball, baseball and golf throughout his youth and eventually joined the high school men’s golf team in Charlotte, N.C.
After high school, Sloan attended the University of South Florida and received a Bachelor of Science degree while also competing for the men’s golf team.
He has been married to Michelle Sloan for 15 years and has two daughters, Brittaney, 24 and Elouise, 11.
Aside from golf sales and family, Britt is always giving back to his community. He has volunteered for three years teaching math to individuals testing for their high school diplomas and brings his dog to children’s hospitals to help uplift the spirits of the patients. He has also made trips with FEMA to New Orleans, La. to help rebuild homes after Hurricane Katrina.
