Cutting edge Vertical Groove driver now shipping to Scandinavian countries;
Agreement with Slaisman LTD includes Finland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway
Boston, MA … March 28, 2017 … On the heels of signing PGA Tour Champions stars, John Daly and Rocco Mediate to play the new Vertical Groove Driver, Vertical Groove Golf, LLC, the golf industry’s newest original equipment manufacturer, today announced the Company’s first International distribution agreement with Slaisman ltd, covering key Scandinavian countries.
Through an agreement with Slaisman ltd, the Vertical Groove Driver is now available for golfers in Finland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway. Slaisman ltd is an established distributor in the Scandinavian region, offering a collection of brands that deliver high quality performance and value.
“This is the first of several International distribution agreements, as the Vertical Groove Driver continues to gain popularity across the US and increased usage on the PGA TOUR Champions,” said Rubin Hanan, COO & Managing Partner, Vertical Groove Golf. “In addition to John Daly and Rocco Mediate using the Vertical Groove Driver in competition, it’s exciting to see several top golfers putting the driver in play on the PGA TOUR Champions.”
Two-Time Major Champion and acclaimed long driver, John Daly and defending Sr. PGA Champion, Rocco Mediate, serve as Global Ambassadors for the Company. Both Daly and Mediate are using the Vertical Groove Driver on the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions and other professional events worldwide.
“Initial Vertical Groove Driver product introductions have been conducted with key retailers and customer feedback is already overwhelmingly positive,” said Mika Leppanen, Sales Director, Slaisman ltd. “Vertical Groove’s look, feel, performance and quality are all exactly in-line with the requirements of our customers and target audience.”
The Vertical Groove Driver, which conforms to the Rules of Golf, is the only golf club innovation to enter the market featuring vertical groove technology on the club face. The Vertical Groove Driver technology reduces side spin at impact, leading to 40% straighter ball flight on average, while also generating greater energy at impact, resulting in a stronger forward roll and increased driving distance.
The 450cc Vertical Groove Driver, which is available in both right and left handed models, is offered in 8, 9.5, 10.5 and 12 degree lofts (right) and 9.5 and 10.5 degree lofts (left), while featuring a full range of Aldila premium grade, tour-proven aftermarket NV2K series shafts as standard. The available flexes include: 45 gram L (Ladies), 50 gram A (Senior), 55 gram R (Regular), 65 gram S (Stiff) and 65 gram X (Extra-stiff). At a length of 45.5 inches, the Vertical Groove Driver provides an optimum launch angle while maximizing carry distance and ball speed for many players. It is equipped with Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips in standard, midsize and oversize models. Alternative shaft options from Fujikura, Mitsubishi and Aldila also will be available.
