Williamsburg, Va. – The 2nd Annual Kingsmill Championship Junior Invitational will be held at Kingsmill Resort (River Course) on April 1-2. For the second year, the LPGA Kingsmill Championship and the Middle Atlantic PGA are working together to bring this premier junior golf event to the Richmond area.
This invitational event, which will feature a boys and girls division, will be a 36-hole stroke play event with the course set up reflecting the LPGA Kingsmill Championship beginning May 18. The tournament will feature young golfers from Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia and Washington D.C.
The field of 60 players was based off Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings for Maryland and Virginia as well as specific Middle Atlantic PGA Junior Golf tournaments, and special exemptions.
Headlining the boys division will be defending champion Drew Brockwell of Chesterfield, Va. Also in the field is Connor Burgess, who is committed to Virginia Tech and Austin Barbin, the No. 4 ranked Boys Junior Golfer in Maryland.
Leading the girls division will be defending champion Caroline Curtis of Glen Allen, Va. Also in the field are Naomi Mitchell, No. 2 ranked Girls Junior Golfer in the state of Virginia; Rebecca DiNunzio, No. 3 ranked Girls Junior Golfer in the state of Virginia; and Faith Choi No. 3 ranked girl in the state of Maryland.
