Golfing families are invited for a fun day of free golf activities & instruction;
annual event to take place at Marriott Golf Academy
PALM DESERT, Calif. – April 3, 2017… In recognition of the 10th anniversary of Marriott’s International Family Golf Festival, golfers of all ages and abilities are invited to join their family members at Marriott’s Shadow Ridge Golf Club/Marriott Golf Academy (9002 Shadow Ridge Rd., Palm Desert, Calif.,) on Saturday April 8th, for a special day on the links.
The Marriott International Family Golf Festival, which aligns with Marriott’s commitment to player development programs, enables golfing families to participate in an exciting line-up of fun-filled activities, highlighted by FREE golf instruction, clinics, interactive golf games, contests, prize giveaways and much more. Supervised by PGA Professionals, this venue offers a welcoming environment where entire families can learn and play the game together.
The fun-filled day of golf activities, which runs from 1pm -3pm, will feature a 1-hour clinic hosted by PGA Professionals & Marriott Golf Academy Certified instructors Mike Ellis and Ben Nicholas, followed by a putting contest for an exciting array of prizes.
In addition to core events, after 3 p.m. adults can take advantage of special rates and children can play golf for free as part of Marriott Golf’s “Kids Golf-4-Free” program. Launched in 2006, “Kids Golf-4-Free” enables kids up to 15-years old to golf for free when accompanied by a full paying adult after 3 p.m. In addition, Marriott Golf offers free lessons anytime to kids up to 15-years old when accompanied by an adult who is taking a fully paid lesson from a Marriott Golf instructor.
