Angels Camp, CA (April 6, 2017) – Two-time Rolex Junior All-American, Yealimi Noh, won the girls division at the inaugural American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Junior at Greenhorn Creek in California’s Gold Country.
Currently at No. 40 in the AJGA rankings, Noh, from Concord, California, carded three birdies in her final round to win against an international field of 27 girls on the Robert Trent Jones, Jr. 18-hole championship golf course.
In the boys division, Griffin Barela, from Lakewood, Colorado, captured his first AJGA title with five birdies during second round to beat a field of 51 boys.
“It was great to see all the junior players compete here at Greenhorn Creek and enjoy all the facility has to offer,” said Allan Ramorini, Director of Golf at Greenhorn Creek Resort. “The AJGA provides such a great structure for these young athletes as far as competition and the ability for college coaches to see their game. The AJGA’s staff does a remarkable job in tournament organization and making each event a memorable one for the players.”
