Georgia Golf & Travel home to the Georgia Golf Trail is starting their fifth year by partnering with EWGA to help promote women’s golf here in Georgia as around the world. “We look forward to working with Georgia Golf & Travel to expand women’s golf in Georgia. Our EWGA members enjoy playing a variety of courses in Georgia and are looking to expand our relationships with the courses listed on The Georgia Golf Trail,” said Phylliss Dorman, President, EWGA Atlanta Chapter. “Whether our members are looking for golf courses for weekly play to improve their game or for weekend golf trips with friends, exploring The Georgia Golf Trail will be top of mind.”
Dorman continued, “EWGA Atlanta Chapter works every year to grow the chapter by connecting women golfers throughout the metro Atlanta area. The explosive growth of Atlanta attracts many new residents annually; we want to be the club that these new Georgians join that links them with other women within the Metro area who enjoy the game of golf. We also have a focus on the new golfer, if you have taken lessons but don’t know how to transition onto the course. EWGA is a safe and friendly environment to improve your game.”
Doug Hollandsworth, Founder of Georgia Golf & Travel, “We are very excited to start working with Phyllis and all the ladies in her chapter helping them promote women’s golf, not only here in Georgia but across the world. We look forward for them showcasing Georgia through their efforts as well as we come together and work to improve the game of golf for all.” Hollandsworth continued, “We are a big supporter of Women’s golf and we want to help them grow the game of golf for women everywhere.”
One of the EWGA chapter member Julie Miller comments, “I was a brand new golfer 7 years ago when I found EWGA and I did not know any women who played. EWGA was the way for me to “sign up and show up” any day, at a number of beautiful golf courses all over town, and to meet women who loved golf as much as I do. Whether I was playing with other new hackers or veteran golfers, I have always felt welcome in the organization and I still learn something new every time I play. If I were able to play more often, my game might even improve!”
