PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian), one of the nation’s largest mutual life insurers and a leading provider of employee benefits, has renewed its relationship with the Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA) and has been named Presenting Sponsor of the 2017 EWGA Chapter Championships. The renewal extends Guardian’s support of women’s golf and the EWGA, which began last year with the 2016 EWGA Cup.
“Guardian is committed to helping women get their financial life in balance and partnering with them through the game of golf,” expressed Danielle Swann, Senior VP of Strategic Initiatives for Lifetime Financial Growth, one of Guardian’s largest firms.
The EWGA Championship, featuring individual stroke play and team scramble competition, is one of the largest women’s amateur golf competitions for all skill levels. More than 2,500 EWGA members will participate in local qualifying events and advance to one of 15 district semi-final championships to be held throughout the summer. Successful competitors will advance to the EWGA Championship Finals slated to be held at the Hot Springs Village in Arkansas on October 6-7, 2017. Featured courses for play include Granada, Ponce de Leon, Magellan and Isabella at the Troon managed property.
“For some of our members, 2017 marks their first experience in competitive play,” said EWGA Managing Director of Golf Programs Lisa Becka. “It is so rewarding to bring together such a diverse group of women, all united by their passion for the game of golf. New friendships are forged and others rekindled in the welcoming spirit that is the EWGA. With Guardian’s commitment to our organization, we feel fortunate to have their Financial Representatives joining the ranks of our membership. Celebrating its 21st year, the EWGA Championship is just one of the many ways we connect women to learn, play and enjoy golf for business and for fun!”
EWGA prides itself on creating a welcoming atmosphere for both experienced, new and aspiring players alike. It’s nearly 13,000 members come from all walks of life and play the game for a variety of reasons, including health and wellness, professional development and for enjoyment.
