Philadelphia, Pa. (May 1, 2017) – Leupold & Stevens, Inc. redefines premium golf rangefinders with the release of the full-featured and compact GX-5i3. Leupold makes the biggest splash yet in golf rangefinder technology, gaining the coveted Product of the Month on GolfTalk Live for May 2017.
The GX-5i3 includes Leupold’s proprietary DNA® (Digitally eNhanced Accuracy™) engine, with an advanced infrared laser that gives faster measurements and increased accuracy – displayed to the nearest 1/10 of a yard. TGR (True Golf Range™) and Club Selector, both unique Leupold GX rangefinder features, provide ranging information and club recommendations based on personal hitting strength, slope and real-time environmental conditions. Both TGR and Club Selector on the GX-5i3 can be disabled to conform with the updated USGA rule 14-3 for tournament play.
“Serious golfers obviously want the most accurate reading from their rangefinders,” states GolfTalk Live host Tony Leodora. “That’s what they’re getting with this new full-featured part of the GX family. From their budget-minded PinCaddie 2, to the premium, most advanced technology now included in the GX-5i3, the reliability and performance of a Leupold is legendary.”
The brand new PinHunter™ 3 Laser Technology included in the GX-5i3 increases the pulse rate, ignoring any movement by the user allowing it to lock onto the flag or target quickly and precisely. The Fog Mode — a popular feature across most of the GX rangefinder line from Leupold – cuts through the thickest mists quickly to provide the most accurate distance measurements in foggy conditions.
“Our new GX-5i3 laser rangefinder is an all-in-one solution for golfers who want to shoot lower scores and get around the course faster,” said Rob Morrison, vice president, global marketing for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “Why mess with GPS when you can have the accuracy and customization of GX-5i3? It’s like having a personal caddie who really knows your game and can take the measure of any course.”
The GX-5i3 weighs only 7.3 ounces, measuring 3.8 inches in length, 3.0 inches in height, with a 1.4 inch width. It is waterproof, and built to withstand the typical rigors of golf, and covered by the Leupold Limited 5-Year Electronics Warranty.
All features and details will be featured prominently throughout the month of May on GolfTalkLive.net. An interview will be conducted with a representative from Leupold and Stevens, Inc. about the GX-5i3 rangefinder and air in all GolfTalk Live radio markets on Saturday, May 13, 2017.
