CARLSBAD, Calif. (May 1, 2017) – The two-man team that finished runner-up at the PGA TOUR event in New Orleans today both played Nippon Shaft in their irons.
The 33-year-old Aiken, South Carolina native whose dramatic pitch-in for eagle on the 18th hole Sunday forced a Monday playoff used Nippon Shaft N.S. PRO MODUS3 Tour 120 TX-flex steel shafts in his irons and MODUS Wedge 125 steel shafts in his wedges.
Meanwhile, his partner, the 33-year-old Augusta, Georgia native used Nippon Shaft N.S. PRO MODUS3 Tour 130 X-flex steel shafts in his irons.
The two men shot 27-under par in regulation with rounds of 70-64-67-60-261.
