IRVINE, Calif. (May 1, 2017) – A player who finished tied for fourth Sunday at the PGA TOUR’s two-man team event in New Orleans utilized Fourteen Golf’s RM-22 60-degree lob wedge and the company’s Type 7 Utility Iron during the tournament.

The 40-year old veteran was part of an all-Texas pairing that combined to shoot 22-under par with rounds of 66-66-70-64 at the Zurich Classic at TPC Louisiana in Avondale, Louisiana.

The three-time PGA TOUR winner also recently recorded Top 10 finishes at the Valero Texas Open and the RBC Heritage at Hilton Head, South Carolina. He has earned nearly $600,000 this season in Tour competition.

“Fourteen Golf is proud that such a highly-regarded Tour veteran trusts our company’s RM-22 wedge and our Type 7 Utility Iron in the highest level of competition,” said Masashi Kamoda, chief operating officer of Fourteen Golf. “Everyone at the company sends him our congratulations on an excellent performance.”

Fourteen Golf’s RM-22 wedges are known for having the highest spin rate of any wedges on the market thanks to their innovative reverse muscle technology, which increases the weight at the top of the club head thereby raising the center of gravity higher on the face and creating more spin.

Fourteen Golf recently improved the grooves on the RM-22 wedges so that they now have the flattest face of any wedge in the industry, Kamoda said. This technological improvement results in the ball staying on the face longer, making it easier to control approach shots and improving overall consistency.

The Fourteen Golf Type 7 utility iron provides the precision of an iron with the forgiveness of a hybrid club, according to Kamoda. The club features a uniquely shaped hollow structure and a relatively small head, giving the club the appearance of an iron while delivering hybrid-style forgiveness.

The hollow head design features cup face technology that offers variable face-thickness, which enhances off-center hits and maximizes center strikes, Kamoda said. The shape of the head is engineered to position the center of gravity (CG) deeper and lower in the clubface to promote maximum ball speed. The head is nickel chrome plated with a satin finish.

The Type 7 utility iron comes in lofts of 20, 23 and 26 degrees. Its MSRP is $330 and is available at fourteengolfonline.com.

MSRP for the RM-22s is $200.

A premier designer and manufacturer of high-quality golf clubs, Fourteen Golf has been part of 70 professional victories since 2010.

The fourteengolfonline.com website makes it possible for golf consumers to order customized clubs over the internet. Fourteen Golf designs and manufactures drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges and putters.
