ORLANDO, Fla. – May 2, 2017… On the heels of several Golf Channel appearances to address clubfitting, Randy Doucette, the Master Clubfitter at Marriott Golf Academy, is once again scheduled to appear on Golf Channel’s Morning Drive, on Thursday, May 4th. The popular daily morning show airs from 7-9 a.m. ET and Doucette’s instructional segment will focus on the clubfitting process, and the importance of matching golfers with the proper equipment to help maximize their performance.
Based at Marriott Golf Academy? at Marriott’s Grande Vista resort in Orlando, Fla., Doucette is a three time recipient of Golf Digest Magazine’s America’s 100 Best Clubfitters Award. Consistently recognized as a highly experienced and sought-after Clubfitting specialist for over 20 years, Doucette has been the Master Club Fitter at Marriott Golf Academy in Orlando since 1996, and has worked closely with many accomplished Tour players, such as Nick Faldo, Se Ri Pak, Fred Funk, and Amy Yang. Doucette also works with golfers of all ages and skill levels, providing expertise on tuning equipment and teaching the benefits of proper clubfitting. The fitting session includes static measurements for grip size and club length, and is complemented by the dynamic portion, utilizing TrackMan, which is designed to analyze the student’s golf swing and ball flight in order to make recommendations on shaft flex, lie/loft angle, and set configuration.
