Rader to provide tips and drills for ‘Let’s Play Golf’ week
ORLANDO, Fla. (May 2, 2017) – Accomplished LPGA teaching professional Dana Rader, one of Golf Magazine’s “Top 100 Teachers in America,” is scheduled to appear as a guest instructor on Golf Channel’s Morning Drive, Wednesday, May 3, and Thursday, May 4, as part of the show’s Let’s Play Golf Week.
The popular daily morning show will air from 7-9 a.m. Eastern on Wednesday, and 7-10 a.m. EST on Thursday.
Let’s Play Golf is a new Golf Channel-GolfNow initiative taking place this week at nearly 1,000 participating golf courses across North America. Each of the week’s themed days is designed for different types of golfers – from beginners to women to gearheads – and to encourage all golfers to get out and play more.
As part of “Women’s Wednesday,” Rader, the owner and founder of the Dana Rader Golf School at Ballantyne Hotel and Lodge in Charlotte, N.C., will be offering female viewers tips on body positioning and the basics of ball striking. She will take a look at training aids as part of “Test Drive Thursday.”
Rader is one of the inaugural coaches in Golf Channel Academy (GCA), a dedicated network of teaching facilities. Select Golf Channel Academy coaches are being invited to appear on the network’s news and instruction shows, including The Golf Fix and School of Golf; Rader is making her second appearance on Morning Drive.
The Dana Rader Golf School, opened in 1987, is currently the sole Golf Channel Academy in the Carolinas, and is recognized as one of the “Top 25 Golf Schools” in the U.S. by Golf Magazine.
“I’m excited to be appearing on Morning Drive once again,” said Rader, Golf Digest’s top-ranked teacher in North Carolina. “It’s been my lifelong passion to help golfers play their best, and I look forward to sharing some of my favorite tips and playing lessons with the viewers at home.”
A former National President of the LPGA’s Teaching & Club Professionals (T&CP) membership, Rader is a nationally recognized leader in the golf teaching industry. She received her LPGA Class A membership in 1984 and achieved LPGA Master Professional status in 2003. She was also selected as the LPGA National Teacher of the Year in 1990 and, more recently, as the 2015 Ellen Griffin Rolex Award winner in honor of the late teaching professional. The award recognizes an individual teacher, male or female, who best emulates Griffin’s spirit, love and dedication to students, teachers, teaching skills, and the game of golf.
