Calgary, Alberta, Canada – TLink Golf Inc., creators of the world’s lightest GPS golf watch and activity tracker, are excited to announce the addition of live streaming capabilities to their app. A feature that until now has been relatively unknown to the world of golf technology.
TLink Golf will be adding this feature to its already free app. Any golfer can live stream their round through the app without the need of a TLink GPS watch. As long as the player has a smartphone, they will have access to live streaming capabilities.
This feature will allow golfers to stream their golf stats in real-time to anyone who may be interested in following their round. This includes their score, putts, fairway accuracy, and greens in regulation. Any golfer can share their round via Facebook, Twitter, SMS, or email. It will allow coaches to follow the progress of their students as well as get a better idea of the areas of their game that may need work. Family and friends will be able to follow tournaments even if they are unable to attend.
People have become more connected than ever, they want to see what their friends are up to and vice versa. Derek Rucki, TLink Golfs founder and CEO believes that “TLinks new live streaming capability is going to add a level of sharing and connection that is a great fit with the already social game of golf. This is a major step in our plan to build a more connected golfing community”. And the community agrees “I’m excited to use it”, said junior golfer Nolan Ferrel, “I like the idea of being able to follow my opponents and see how their games are going. I also like the fact that my coaches do not have to be physically with me during a game to help me out”.
