PEBBLE BEACH, CA – Youth on Course – the non-profit providing youth access to affordable golf, meaningful high school employment opportunities and college scholarships – announces a partnership with RBC Royal Bank and City National Bank to offer selected Youth on Course members a putting clinic with eight-time PGA Tour winner Brandt Snedeker at Green Hills Country Club on May 22.

The 2012 FedEx Cup champion, 2015 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am champion and member of the victorious 2016 Ryder Cup team, is one 13 Tour players who wear the RBC brand. Team RBC, includes Ernie Els, Jim Furyk, Matt Kuchar, Graeme McDowell, and Morgan Pressel.

Often referred to as one of the best putters in the world, Snedeker will share his putting insights with nearly 20 Youth on Course members from the Bay Area. Snedeker, who grew up playing a rural Missouri course managed by his grandmother, recognizes the importance of providing youth with affordable access to golf.

“Our core purpose is to help youth experience life-changing opportunities through the game of golf,” said Youth on Course Executive Director Adam Heieck. “Giving our youth members a chance to learn from and talk with a PGA Tour player of Brandt Snedeker’s talent will surely inspire them.”

RBC has a long history of supporting a wide range of initiatives to help children and youth realize their potential. The partnership with Youth on Course is a natural extension the RBC mission of helping clients thrive and communities prosper.

Since 2006, nearly 500,000 rounds of golf have been subsidized by Youth on Course so that each member plays for $5 or less per round. Currently active in 14 states, roughly 20,000 kids ages 6-18 enjoy affordable rates at hundreds of courses.

With cost barriers removed, young people can play more golf and realize its many physical, mental and social benefits. Notable supporters include 2x NBA MVP Steph Curry, World Golf Hall of Famer Tom Watson and Golf Channel personality Matt Ginella.
