PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (May 18, 2017) – PGA Golf Club – the 54-hole, flagship property of the PGA of America – will host a Women’s Golf Day on June 6 that invites ladies of all ages to try golf for the first time in a fun, non-intimidating environment alongside existing golfers.
Beginning at 4 p.m., participants of all ages can either receive free lessons led by PGA Professionals at various stations at the PGA Golf Club Player Development Course, or play nine holes of golf on the Wanamaker Course for $33 (plus tax) with others who are playing for the first time or have played for years. After golf, a mixer for participants will occur on the clubhouse patio.
“Women play an integral part in the sport, and this event celebrates girls and women who play it,” says Jimmy Terry, General Manager. “We encourage women to come out and enjoy a fun-filled event learning skills that will make golf more enjoyable, and connecting with others who share a similar passion.”
For more information and to register for the Women’s Golf Day, visit the event’s Facebook page or call 772.467.1300 to book starting times.
Considered one of the most scenic layouts in Florida, the Tom Fazio-designed Wanamaker Course seamlessly incorporates the natural habitat, with holes routed around wetlands, through native palmetto and sabal palms, and over subtle slopes. Earlier this month Golfweek ranked the Wanamaker Course 20th in Florida in Golfweek’s Best: “State-by-State Courses You Can Play.”
Stay-and-play packages from single- to five-nights and rounds are available, as are weekend getaways. To learn more or book a package, visit pgavillagegolf.com or call 800.514.5131.
