Exciting new event features unlimited golf for $50, chances to win custom-fit driver
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (May 26, 2017) – PGA Golf Club – the flagship property of the PGA of America – will host its inaugural “Summer Solstice Celebration” on June 19 featuring three of its golf courses.
The event offers unlimited golf on the Dye, Wanamaker and St. Lucie Trail courses, including lunch, for $50 plus tax. To participate, golfers must book online at www.pgavillage.com and enter the promo code “SOLSTICE” at checkout. Subject to availability, additional rounds must be booked at check-in. All participating golfers will also be entered in a drawing to win a custom-fit driver.
“This event gives golfers the opportunity to play any or all of our three courses at a fantastic price on one of the longest days of the year,” says Jimmy Terry, General Manager. “The Summer Solstice Celebration also spotlights our off-course amenities and historical memorabilia found in our clubhouse.”
Designed by Pete Dye, the acclaimed Dye Course re-opened this past November following an extensive re-grassing project. Celebration Bermuda was installed on all fairways, and all 18 greens were re-grassed with Tifeagle, an Ultra’dwarf Bermuda variety lauded for its improved speed, consistent smoothness and superior color retention. TifGrand was chosen for the collars. Additionally, putting surfaces were expanded back to their original sizes when the course opened in 2000.
Earlier this year Golfweek ranked the Wanamaker Course 20th in Florida in its “State-by-State Courses You Can Play” rankings. Considered one of the most scenic layouts in Florida, the Tom Fazio-designed track seamlessly incorporates the natural habitat, with holes routed around wetlands, through native palmetto and sabal palms, and over subtle slopes.
Originally crafted by Jim Fazio in 1988, St. Lucie Trail offers expansive nature views on nearly every hole. Water hazards and native Florida foliage are prevalent throughout, with more than 80 green and fairway bunkers providing added challenge.
Stay-and-play packages from single- to five-nights and rounds are available, as are weekend getaways. To learn more or book a package, visit pgavillagegolf.com or call 800.514.5131.
