Sarasota, FL. – Heritage Golf Group, a premier owner and operator of private golf clubs, announced today that Chef Robert ‘Bob’ McGowan will be the new Executive Chef for TPC Prestancia. McGowan brings over 25 years of noteworthy experience in the culinary and hospitality industry.
In his role as Executive Chef, McGowan will ensure that members and guests of TPC Prestancia enjoy locally inspired, handcrafted cuisine and a menu ‘made for you’. Under the direction of Chef McGowan, the culinary team at TPC Prestancia has created new menus that feature traditional club favorites and locally inspired Gulf Coast creations. These hand-crafted specials will be prepared with local and organically sourced fresh produce and purveyors. The Sandhill Grill will offer a full complement of services including lunch, dinner, and on-course refreshments.
Prior to joining TPC Prestancia, McGowan spent three years as an Executive Chef at Kitchen Chicks Catering in Kennebunkport, Maine. Additionally, McGowan was Executive Chef at The Nantucket Yacht Club for eighteen years and Executive Chef at Jared Coffin House for three years in Nantucket, Massachusetts. McGowan is a Graduate of The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.
