Event kicks off Shepherd’s Rock grand opening celebration, special appearance by John Daly
(FARMINGTON, Pa.) – Nemacolin Woodlands Resort – the acclaimed luxury resort in the Laurel Highlands of southwestern Pennsylvania – will host its inaugural “Grand Fitting and Golf Expo” at its world-class Golf Academy on July 9.
Beginning at 3 p.m., the event kicks off Nemacolin’s grand opening celebration for its much-anticipated new Pete Dye and Tim Liddy-designed Shepherd’s Rock golf course, which welcomes public play beginning on July 12. PGA TOUR player and 84 Lumber Classic past champion John Daly will make a special appearance at the demonstration along with a “meet and greet” with PGA professionals.
Representative equipment brands to be showcased include Titleist, PING, TaylorMade, Srixon, PXG, Mizuno, Bentley, Edel, Honma, Accra Golf Shafts, Mitsubishi Chemical, Swing Science and SeeMore Putters. Other scheduled events are highlighted by a trick shot performance by Nemacolin’s director of instruction, PGA Professional Eric Johnson. Johnson is a GOLF Magazine “Top 100 Teacher in America.” Tours of the Golf Academy and entertainment by DJ Rambo are also part of the festivities.
