CARLSBAD, Calif. (June 19, 2017) – The winner of the Meijer LPGA Classic recorded a two-stroke victory Sunday using Nippon Shaft N.S. PRO MODUS3 Tour 105 steel shafts in her irons and N.S.PRO MODUS” Wedge 115 steel shafts in her wedges.

The 19-year-old Canadian star shot 17-under par, firing rounds of 63-67-67-66 at the Blythefield Country Club in Grand Rapids, Michigan and earning a winner’s check of $300,000.

It was the fourth LPGA title for the native of Smith Falls in Eastern Ontario. After taking this week off, she will defend her title in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at Olympia Fields CC outside Chicago.

“Nippon Shaft is very proud of this winning performance by one of the LPGA’s top young stars,” said Hiro Fukuda, Sales and Marketing for Nippon Shaft. “We wish her luck as she moves forward to defend her major championship title in Chicago.”

Nippon Shaft continues to be the preferred shaft on the LPGA Tour, with several players having recorded victories this year on the world’s preeminent women’s pro circuit.

More than 140 players on the PGA TOUR and European Tour utilize Nippon Shaft steel shafts created by the Japan-based golf shaft manufacturer.
