ORLANDO, Fla. (June 20, 2017) – Accomplished Southeast PGA teaching professional Craig Bocking, the 2016 Alabama-NW Florida Section PGA Teacher of the Year, is scheduled to appear as a guest instructor on Golf Channel’s Morning Drive on Wednesday, June 21 and Thursday, June 22.
The popular daily morning show airs from 7-9 a.m. Eastern on both days.
Bocking, owner and director of instruction for Bocking Golf, located at Burningtree Country Club in Decatur, Ala., is one of the inaugural coaches in Golf Channel Academy (GCA), a dedicated network of teaching facilities. Select Golf Channel Academy coaches are being invited to appear on the network’s news and instruction shows, including The Golf Fix and School of Golf; Bocking is making his first appearance on Morning Drive.
“I’m very excited to be appearing on Morning Drive,” said Bocking, who also is the PGA Director of Player Development at Burningtree. “It’s been a great experience to be a part of the Golf Channel Academy network of coaches and I look forward to sharing some of my favorite lessons and playing strategies with the viewers at home.”
A native of Huntsville, Ala., Bocking is considered one of the top golf performance training coaches in the southeast. He was named a 2016 Future Champions Golf Top 50 Elite Junior Coach and Honorable Mention U.S. Kids Golf Top 50 Junior Instructor in 2014, ’15 and ’16. He also is an Authorized Instructor of The Golfing Machine, as well as BioSwing Dynamics.
The use of technology is a cornerstone of Bocking’s teaching style, as his numerous teaching certifications indicate (AimPoint, SAM PuttLab Coach 2, K-Vest Level 3, FlightScope, BodiTrak, TPI Junior Coach 3 and TPI Golf Coach 3). Bocking’s many students include a number of Division 1 college players, several top elite juniors-including several who recently committed to Southeastern Conference (SEC) and D-1 programs-and former Big Break Atlantis contestant Kelly Villarreal.
