Antigua Busy With Events In 2017

June 23, 2017

PEORIA, AZ – Antigua Group, Inc. – one of the nation’s leading designers and marketers of lifestyle and golf apparel under the distinguished Antigua brand – is participating in more than 3,000 events in 2017.

This large volume has become typical for Antigua’s six-person event services department that’s dedicated to managing such affairs for the company’s customer base. An “event” can be the men’s invitational at a country club, a charity fundraising golf or tennis tournament, an event on the various professional golf and tennis tours, a sales meeting, convention, major championship, Solheim Cup, Ryder Cup, World Series or the Super Bowl. Whatever the occasion, events are always on a specific date, have tight deadlines, and are ensured by Antigua to come off on time and complete. They have several components requiring logoed apparel and headwear, including on-site retail, online retail, volunteer uniforms, patron gifts and pro-am gifts. Many major events also require 24-hour fill-in for retail sale with logoed goods.

Antigua started its events services department in 1990 and has grown the event business each year. This past February, the company was an invited vendor to the NFL Experience at the Super Bowl. And in August, Antigua will be a proud lead vendor at the Solheim Cup in Des Moines, handling all pertinent components with staff on-site working the retail pro shops and filling in logoed inventories.

“The event business is a very important aspect of all our business channels,” says Ron McPherson, CEO of Antigua. “Whether it’s a Super Bowl, a major golf event, a corporation’s national sales meeting, or an event on the professional tennis circuit, Antigua is there to provide customized product and services .. on time and through completion.”
