VedbÆk, Denmark, July 1st, 2017 – Armed with a purse of USD 40,000 in prize money, TrackMan is searching for the world’s best shotmaker. Applying its renowned TrackMan Combine protocol as the challenge, the competition is open to anyone.
“We’ve had the desire to make something like this for a long time,” says CEO and founder Klaus Eldrup-Jorgensen. While the competition is open to anyone, it’s intended audience is first and foremost the professional golfer. “Most employees at TrackMan are golfers, and many of us have competed on various tours and know how competitive it is out there,” continues Eldrup-Jorgensen. “This is a chance for the players of the minor tours to compete with some of the best players in the world. Jason Dufner had the TrackMan Combine high score last month. Who wouldn’t like to compete against him and win?”, concludes Eldrup-Jorgensen.
The TrackMan Combine can be taken anywhere, anytime as long as the player is in front of a TrackMan radar launch monitor. The TrackMan Combine test is a standardized test where the player hits 60 shots towards ten different targets. To read more about the TrackMan Combine, go to TrackManOpen.com
Starting July 1st, anyone who uploads a TrackMan Combine score automatically enters the TrackMan Open competition. Running for six months (rest of 2017), the monthly high score wins USD 5,000, with the chance to win the overall high-score of another USD 10,000. Should an amateur happen to win, merchandise prizes will be given according to the rules of the R&A and the USPGA.
