Anaheim, ca (July 14, 2017) – HOUSE OF FORGED golf shafts, which are manufactured exclusively by MATRIX have dominated long-drive competition over the past ten years, having been used to win four Open Division World Long-Drive Championships with more competitors making the TV Finals with HOF shafts than any other golf shaft. This year the GOLF CHANNEL is offering enhanced live television viewing with three live events to be televised over the summer months, concluding with the world championships at the WINSTAR WORLD CASINO in Thackerville, Oklahoma in late August.

In the USA 49-year-old Canadian Jeff Gavin continued his quest to become the oldest open division champion using HOF shafts to make the finals in 3-of-the-last-4 tour events, while also winning a Seniors Event in Mesquite, NV. Tommy Hug and Glenn Wilson, Jr. also used HOF shafts to make the finals of the recent Tennessee Shoot-Out event. In Europe, HOF shafts have dominated with 27-year-old Matt Nicole of Jersey, U.K. taking down wins at the LDET (Long-Drivers European Tour) long-drive events in Denmark and Estonia to give him the lead in the LDET points standings. Meanwhile in Finland on June 17th, Saku Korhonen used HOF shafts to get the win at the 2017 Kytaja Long Drive Games.

Following these wins Robert Kent, the Vice-President of HOUSE OF FORGED offered the following comments, ” We are honored that top long-drive competitors across the globe use our shafts to demonstrate their superiority at the highest levels of competition. These venues allow us to compete against and beat some of the largest golf shaft companies in the world. We consider ourselves bless to have the support of MATRIX, whom any in the industry consider to be the Rolls-Royce of golf shaft manufacturers.”
